Code of Conduct

Respecting the Dodgeball

Squeezing, malicious poking, rupturing or kicking the dodgeballs is strictly not allowed. Using a dodgeball as a basketball and ‘slam dunking’ a dodgeball is strictly not permitted as this severely damages the outer skin of the dodgeball.

604dodgeball’s Code of Conduct

Typical to popular sporting and recreational events, the Code of Conduct and good sportsmanship is key to dodgeball. From our ongoing process in improving our league, players’ feedback and through simple observation, we developed the 604 ‘Code’ and encourage all league members to respect it. Please join us and embrace them!

  1. Play fair by abiding by the rules of the game
  2. Referees are in charge of the game. Respect their call and judgment
  3. Be responsible for your actions and maintain self-control at all times
  4. Respect the facility and equipment – no slam dunking or kicking of dodgeballs
  5. Foul or abusive language is absolutely forbidden
  6. Drugs, alcohol or any substance abuse is strictly prohibited
  7. Honesty is the only policy. Eliminate yourself if you’ve been hit
  8. Exercise quality sportsmanship on and off the court
  9. Respect the integrity of the referees, fellow players and 604dodgeball staff
  10. Win or lose, players congratulate each other and their opponents following each match
  11. Spectators shall provide only positive encouragement for the players and referees
  12. Have fun, meet friends and embrace our Code of Conduct!

Violations to the Code of Conduct

Any infraction to the Code of Conduct is taken very seriously. In order to maintain a high quality league and a safe and healthy environment, 604dodgeball confronts each and every violation with diligence to ensure a resolution is met. If a player or a team is found to be in violation of breaking the code of conduct, penalties will be enforced. Penalties will range from warnings, game suspensions and explusion from the league without reimbursement of the registration fees. Each case will be reviewed on a case by case basis and dealt with according to its severity.

Our goal at 604dodgeball is to ensure everyone experiences a positive environment at all times. We live by our code and encourage everyone to do the same.

Hey, we saw it at the end of the night but someone said it was left there from earlier in the night, so we thought a kid at the school left it. I suggest calling the school first thing in the morning and have them retrieve it and pick it up when you can. Tecumseh – (604) 713-5390
